Tigers Drop Series Finale at Florida Atlantic

BOCA RATON, Fla. – Memphis (17-33, 4-20 AAC) softball fell by mercy rule, 10-2, in its third contest of the weekend against RV Florida Atlantic (41-9, 20-4 AAC) Sunday at Joan Joyce Field.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Memphis opened the scoring with a run in the first inning on an RBI groundout by Zoe Adebayo.
- Kennedy Semien scored after leading off the game with a triple to right-center field.
- A four-run first inning put Florida Atlantic ahead in the early stages of the series finale.
- An RBI groundout by Jesiana Mora brought in FAU's first run of the contest.
- The second run came across on a sacrifice fly off the bat of Chloe Yeatts.
- A single by Bella Cimino scored Destiny Johns.
- The final run came on a bases-loaded walk drawn by Bella Foran.
- Jesiana Mora scored on a wild pitch in the second inning to extend FAU's lead to four runs.
- Mora had reached on a triple in her at-bat.
- The Tigers picked up a run in the third inning on a two-out RBI double by Kayla Clement.
- The double was Clement's second of the series and resulted in her first RBI of the season.
- The Owls brought two runs home in the fourth inning on a two-RBI single to left field by Kylie Channell.
