Tigers Add Proven Scorer Sincere Parker from McNeese State
May 01, 2025 | Men's Basketball
MEMPHIS, Tenn. - University of Memphis head men's basketball coach Penny Hardaway announced Thursday the addition of veteran guard Sincere Parker to the Tigers' 2025-26 roster.
Parker, a 6-foot-3 guard from Rockford, Illinois, arrives in Memphis following a productive collegiate career that has taken him from Moberly Area Community College to Saint Louis University and most recently McNeese State, where he helped lead the Cowboys to a historic season in 2024-25.
Appearing in all 34 games for McNeese, Parker averaged 12.2 points (second on the team) and 2.5 rebounds per game while shooting 43.7% from the field and 30.1% from beyond the arc in 19.7 minutes per game off the bench.
He played a key role in McNeese's 28-7 campaign, which included both Southland Conference regular-season and tournament titles. Parker delivered in the postseason as well, scoring 12 points in a first-round NCAA Tournament upset over No. 5 seed Clemson and 17 in a hard-fought loss to No. 4 Purdue in the Round of 32.
Parker opened the 2024-25 season with a hot hand, averaging 16.2 points in nonconference play. He had notable performances against nationally-ranked opponents, including a 31-point outburst against Longwood, 19 points at No. 2 Alabama, and 16 against No. 25 Mississippi State.
Before transferring to McNeese, Parker spent two seasons at Saint Louis in the Atlantic 10, where he showcased his scoring prowess. In an injury-shortened 2023-24 season, he averaged 15.9 points and 4.3 rebounds while shooting 42.6% from three-point range in just 16 games. After returning from a broken foot, Parker caught fire down the stretch, averaging 17.7 points over the Billikens' final 10 games.
Parker began his college career at Moberly Area (Mo.) Community College in 2021-22, where he was a first-team NJCAA All-American and led all of NJCAA Division I with 767 total points while ranking 10th in points per game (21.9) as a freshman.
He prepped at East High School in Rockford and was a two-time All-State selection.
With a career that has spanned multiple levels of college basketball, Parker brings a wealth of experience, an elite scoring resume and a winning mentality to a re-loaded Tigers squad in 2025-26.
Parker is the ninth player Hardaway has signed to the 2025 recruiting class, joining Daniel Vieira-Tuck, Felipe Patino, Quante Berry (Temple), Dug McDaniel (Kansas State), Aaron Bradshaw (Ohio State), Julius Thedford (Western Kentucky), Ashton Hardaway (Saint Mary's) and Zachary Davis (South Carolina).
