MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Memphis women's basketball announced the addition of guard Chae Harris for the 2025-26 season.
Harris will spend her final year of eligibility in Memphis, joining from Fordham in the A10. She played in 29 of the Rams' 30 games last season, making six starts and averaging 23 minutes per contest.
"Chae is an ultra-dynamic guard that absolutely loves the game. She puts in the work every day and has a powerful testimony," said head coach Alex Simmons. "She will bring leadership, intention and an undeniable work ethic to our program, and I am excited for her to be a part of it."
The 5-foot-8 guard ranked second on the team in blocks (12) and third in both steals (36) and points per game (9.6). She had four games with 15-plus points, including a 22-point outburst behind four three-pointers in a 61-58 victory over conference rival La Salle.
Harris also spent two years at Appalachian State, recording 7.6 points and 3.5 rebounds in 15 minutes per game as a sophomore. She averaged 20 points per game at Shiloh High School and was named First-Team All-Region her senior year, as well as Most Valuable Player in Gwinnett County.
Harris will be another valuable addition to a guard room that has signed Jordan Hunter (Auburn), Cori Allen (Illinois) and Brooklyn and Kennedi Alexander (Tulsa) so far this offseason. Paris Gaines (Georgia Southern) and Amauri Williams (Prairie View A&M) have also joined as frontcourt players.
