MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Memphis women's basketball head coach Alex Simmons completed her assistant coaching staff on Wednesday, promoting Kevin Sullivan from director of analytics to assistant coach.
"Kevin has been a valuable asset to our program. He has challenged our offensive style and played a huge role in our offensive efficiency," said Simmons. "He is willing to do anything to make our program better, and I cannot think of anyone else that is more deserving. I'm excited to have Kevin be a part of our coaching staff."
Sullivan joined the Tigers ahead of the 2023-24 season and was promoted to director of analytics the following year. He oversaw all scouting operations, which included film compilation, creating scouting reports and providing advanced statistical breakdowns.
The Louisville, Kentucky, native also handled all equipment operations for the program and oversaw the student managers. He served as the Nike GameDay representative for the men's and women's tennis, rifle and volleyball programs.
Sullivan graduated from the University of Louisville with a degree in civil engineering. He was a graduate assistant for the Gardner Webb men's basketball program for the 2022-23 season and an assistant coach at DeSales High School while at Louisville.
