GEORGE TOWN, GRAND CAYMAN, CAYMAN ISLANDS – Memphis women's basketball learned its opponents for the 2025 Cayman Islands Classic on Wednesday, with the Tigers set to face off with Florida and St. John's on Friday, November 28, and Saturday, November 29, respectively.
The first official non-conference opponents for Memphis' 2025-26 season, St. John's and Florida join Memphis and Georgia Tech in the Cayman Brac Division of the third annual Cayman Islands Classic at John Gray Gymnasium in George Town, Grand Cayman, just minutes from the renowned Seven Mile Beach.
The Little Cayman Division will include Charlotte, George Washington, Miami and Oklahoma State. The divisions are named for Cayman Brac and Little Cayman, the two smaller islands that, along with Grand Cayman, make up the Cayman Islands.
Memphis will conclude the action on both Friday and Saturday, with both games slated for 6:30 p.m. CT. The Tigers played the Red Storm in a holiday tournament in 2022, dropping the opening game of the Las Vegas Invitational, 61-57. They will face off with the Gators for the first time since 2000.
