Hardt, Bach Earn American Conference’s Weekly Awards

IRVING, Texas – Two members of the Memphis volleyball were named to the American Conference's weekly honor list, the league announced on Monday afternoon.
Amanda Hardt took home Offensive Player of the Week and Maddy Bach received Freshman and Setter of the Week. Hardt has now earned her second Offensive Player of the Week honor from the American, while Bach picked up her first Freshman of the Week and second Setter of the Week recognition.
Hardt, a transfer from Omaha, led Memphis with 81 kills across three matches at the Carrie Yerty Classic. The Glendale, Ariz., native averaged 6.75 kills per set and totaled 88.5 points on the weekend. She posted 31 kills and 33 points against Chattanooga—the most in a four-set match in both the American and NCAA Division I this season. Hardt also became the first Tiger to earn two Offensive Player of the Week honors from the conference.
Bach tallied 143 assists during the Carrie Yerty Classic, highlighted by a career-high 58 against Chattanooga, the most in a four-set match in both the American and Division I this season. The Chesterfield, Mo., native registered at least 30 assists in all three matches and added a career-high five blocks in the win over UT Martin.
