Tigers Add Graduate Transfer Tariq Ingraham to 2025-26 Roster
Sep 22, 2025 | Men's Basketball
MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Memphis men's basketball head coach Penny Hardaway announced Monday the addition of graduate transfer forward Tariq Ingraham to the Tigers' 2025-26 roster.
Ingraham, a 6-foot-9, 255-pound Philadelphia native, joins the Tigers after three seasons at Rider University. He was recently granted an additional year of eligibility by the NCAA and will compete as a seventh-year senior.
Ingraham started 33 games for Rider in 2024-25, averaging 10.9 points, 7.0 rebounds, and 1.5 assists per game while shooting 54.2 percent from the field. He recorded seven double-doubles and ranked fifth in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) in field goal percentage. Over his three seasons with the Broncs, Ingraham appeared in 95 games (81 starts) and averaged 8.9 points, 5.7 rebounds and 1.0 assist.
A former three-star recruit in the Class of 2019, Ingraham began his career at Wake Forest, where he spent three seasons before transferring to Rider. His early years were limited by injuries, including an Achilles tear in 2019-20 and a medical condition in 2020-21, but he returned to full strength to become a consistent contributor at Rider.
Ingraham provides Memphis with a proven, physical presence inside to complement the Tigers' length in the frontcourt.
Memphis freshman guard Daniel Vieira Tuck, who was set to miss this season, has decided to pursue opportunities elsewhere and will reopen his recruitment for next year. His decision clears room for Ingraham to officially join the Tigers for the 2025-26 season.
Ingraham is the 15th player Hardaway has signed to the 2025 recruiting class, joining Quante Berry (Temple), Dug McDaniel (Kansas State), Aaron Bradshaw (Ohio State), Julius Thedford (Western Kentucky), Ashton Hardaway (Saint Mary's), Zachary Davis (South Carolina), Sincere Parker (McNeese State), Hasan Abdul Hakim (UTRGV), Mason Matthews (Lane College), Curtis Givens II (LSU), William Whorton (South Dakota State), Simon Majok (KK Real Beograd), Thierno Sylla (Stephen F. Austin) and Arop Arop (Columbia).
