Syrio’s Brace Leads Memphis to 4-3 Win Over Lipscomb

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The University of Memphis (5-2-4, 0-0-3 American) men's soccer team has snapped a five-match winless streak with a 4-3 win over in-state foe Lipscomb (3-7-1, 2-2-0 ASUN) Tuesday night at the Billy J. Murphy Track & Soccer Complex.
Memphis applied heavy pressure for a third match in a row with two early goals by Renan Syrio before Lipscomb leveled the match at two going into the half. Memphis charged out to a 4-2 lead in the first 15 minutes of the second half and staved off a late Lipscomb comeback bid.
