Tigers Tee It Up at Great River Cup

MEMPHIS, Tenn. - The University of Memphis women's golf team is set for its second tournament of the spring season as the Tigers head south for the Great River Cup hosted by both UL Monroe and Southern Miss on Feb. 16-17.

The tournament will be held at Windance Country Club located in Gulfport, Mississippi on a par-72 course that spans 5,056 yards and will host eight total teams. The 54-hole event will include two rounds of match play competition on Monday and a final round on Tuesday.

Memphis will tee off at 8 a.m. Monday against Central Arkansas for the first round, while the second round will follow with a 1 p.m. shotgun start. The final round on Tuesday will get going at 8 a.m.

The eight-team field includes Memphis, ULM, Southern Miss, Arkansas State, Central Arkansas, James Madison, Little Rock and Missouri State.

Last time out, Malia Cottriel led the Tigers at the Advance Golf Partners Collegiate (Feb. 1-3) with a 34th-place finish with a +13, 229 over three days. Memphis finished 14^th as a team.
