Parker’s Explosive Week Lands American Conference Player of the Week
Feb 09, 2026 | Men's Basketball
IRVING, Texas - Memphis senior guard Sincere Parker has been named the American Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week after leading the Tigers to a 2-0 stretch with one of the most efficient scoring weeks in the nation.
Parker averaged 25.5 points, 4.0 rebounds, 2.0 assists, 1.5 steals and 1.0 block while shooting 58.1 percent from the field, 63.6 percent from 3-point range and 100 percent from the free-throw line over two games.
The senior highlighted the week with a historic performance in a road win at UAB, erupting for a career-high 40 points in just under 26 minutes. Parker shot 14-of-20 from the field, 6-of-8 from beyond the arc and 6-of-6 at the free-throw line, adding six rebounds and four assists. His 40-point outing marked the most points scored by any player inside Bartow Arena since at least the 2016-17 season and made him just the 12th player in program history to reach the 40-point mark.
Parker also reached multiple national milestones. He became the first Division I player since at least the 1996-97 season to record 40 points with six made 3-pointers and a perfect free-throw performance (minimum five attempts) in 26 minutes or fewer. He is also one of only five Division I players this season to score 40 points off the bench and just the second to do so in 26 minutes or less.
The Rockford, Illinois native followed that performance with 11 points, two assists, two steals and two blocks in a win over Charlotte as Memphis completed a 2-0 week.
For the week, Parker totaled 51 points on 18-of-31 shooting, including 7 of 11 from 3-point range and a perfect 8 of 8 at the line, helping the Tigers secure a pair of victories.
