Harrington Named American Conference Hitter of the Week Honorable Mention

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – University of Memphis INF Tyler Harrington received an honorable mention for the American Conference's Player of the Week the conference announced Monday.
Harrington, a graduate student from Lakeland, Tenn., provided a spark in the Tigers' batting order, going 5-for-9 (.556), with a double, a home run, six RBI and three walks in the series. In game two of the series on Saturday, Harrington came up clutch for the Tigers with a timely two-out, two-RBI double to tie the game. On Sunday, Harrington blasted a 419-foot home run over the batter's eye during the third inning of Memphis' 11-6 win over Florida Atlantic.
Across the series, Harrington led the Tigers in batting average (.556), hits (5), home runs (1), RBIs (6), slugging percentage (1.000), walks (3) and OPS (1.667). Harrington collected his 30th hit of the season this weekend, while also improving his home run total to three and his RBI total to 18.
