T&F Meet 11: LSU Alumni Gold

BATON ROUGE, LA. – After taking a week off, Memphis track and field heads to Baton Rouge, Louisiana, for the regular season finale at the LSU Alumni Gold on Saturday, April 25.
Louisiana State University will host this one-day meet at the Bernie Moore Track Stadium. A link to live results as well as the meet's schedule can be found above.
The hammer throw will kick off the meet at 10:00 a.m. with the women going first. The women's 4x400 relay will begin the track events at 12:30 p.m.
Freshmen Urko Etxebeste and Marek Waltke won their respective events at the Crimson Tide Invitational. Extebeste recorded a personal-best of 5:56.47 at the 2,000-meter steeplechase while Waltke threw a career-best of 69.94 meters in the javelin event.
Throwers Adela Mullerova and Isabelle Cruickshank finished second and third in the javelin event. Mullerova threw 49.61 meters and Cruickshank threw 48.93 meters.
Oageng Mdlela and Daryl Smith Jr. captured second and third place in the triple jump. Mdlela jumped 14.93 meters while Smith followed with 14.90 meters.
