Haden Adds Trio of Assistant Coaches

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The first staff members of the Hana Haden era have been unveiled, with Dee Anderson, Tiffany Conner and Dexter Jenkins all signing on as assistant coaches for 2026-27.
The trio all come to Memphis from Georgia Southern, where Haden and her staff won the program's first regular season conference championship in 25 years behind a 16-2 record in Sun Belt play. Their winning percentage of .742 was the 50th best in Division I this season, and their .889 mark in conference was tied for 16th.
Anderson spent two years with the Eagles, joining Haden's first staff in Statesboro. She spent four years prior at UNC Asheville as an assistant coach, and she got her coaching start as a graduate assistant at Clemson.
"Dee brings high-level playing experience; she is an excellent developer of talent. She was a wing herself and will have a big impact on our wing room," said Haden. "She has also been our community service liaison connecting our program to the community."
Like Haden, Anderson has been named to the WBCA 30 Under 30 Coaches, receiving the honor in 2024. She played 121 games for the University of Florida from 2015-18, totaling 724 points, 416 rebounds and 304 career assists.
The Viera, Florida, native was on the 2015 SEC First-Year Academic Honor Roll and graduated from UF with a degree in telecommunications.
Conner's first year on Georgia Southern's staff was the historic 2025-26 season. In her last three years as an assistant coach between GS and College of Charleston, the combined record of her teams is 70-26 (.729). Conner has appeared in five postseason games in that time frame with four of them coming at Charleston in the WNIT.
"Tiffany was the defensive coordinator for our team that was the top defense in the Sun Belt last year. She's another coach with experience at the highest levels of collegiate basketball," Haden said. "Her presence both on the court with our defense and in the locker room with our players is extremely valuable."
Prior to CofC, Conner was on the staff at Saint Francis University in 2022-23 and at Chicago State the season prior. Other coaching stops include stints at Fort Valley State, Labette Community College and Rutgers-Newark.
Conner, a Teaneck, New Jersey, native, was a four-year standout at South Florida, where she led the team in rebounding as a junior and left the program tied for second in career games played (125). She graduated with her bachelor's degree in communications from USF in 2012 and earned her master's degree in sports management from Southern New Hampshire in 2017.
Jenkins will join the Tigers after three seasons in Statesboro as the assistant coach and recruiting coordinator. In the 2023-24 season prior to Haden's arrival, Jenkins helped guide a GS squad that set a new single-season record for blocked shots (159) and developed wing Terren Ward to an All-Sun Belt Conference player behind 22 points per game.
"Dexter is a tremendous recruiter; it won't be in his title anymore, but we will lean on him and his expertise. He's also a great developer at the guard position," said Haden. "Where Tiffany [Conner] is our defensive specialist, Dexter is an offensive guy. He helps optimize our offense through analytics and has been great in evaluating how to be efficient on the offensive side of the ball."
Jenkins has also had assistant coaching stints at Saint Francis, Winston-Salem State and Northwestern (Ohio). He began his career as a graduate assistant at North Carolina Central, eventually working his way into a director of operations role before his first coaching gig at Northwestern in 2017-18.
He received both a bachelor's degree in business administration and a master's degree in physical education from NC Central.
