Jul 02, 2026 | Women's Soccer
MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Head coach Brooks Monaghan announced the University of Memphis women's soccer schedule for the 2026 season on Thursday, with the Tigers set for 17 regular-season matches and two preseason exhibition contests beginning at Mississippi State on August 5.
During the regular season Memphis will play nine home matches and eight road contests, Monaghan's 27th squad will once again face a challenging schedule featuring four teams from last season's NCAA Tournament, three SEC opponents and a nonconference slate that includes programs from three of the four power conferences.
Following exhibitions matches in Starkville against Mississippi State and at home against Arkansas, Memphis will open the regular season at home against Kennesaw State on August 12 for senior night. The Tigers will then host Alabama (August 15) before hitting the road for two more SEC matchups, first visiting 2025 SEC Tournament champions Vanderbilt on August 21 and then Ole Miss on August 27.
The Tigers will open September with a home matchup against Big 12 opponent Houston on September 3 before traveling to Ohio State to face a Buckeye squad that reached the quarterfinals of last year's NCAA Tournament on September 6. Memphis returns home to close nonconference play against Kansas City on September 13.
Conference play begins at home against Rice (September 17) before the Tigers travel to Florida for games against South Florida (September 24) and Florida Atlantic (September 27). Memphis then starts October with consecutive home conference matches against Tulsa (October 8) and Charlotte (October 11).
The Tigers will head to Philadelphia to take on Temple on October 15 before returning home to host UTSA on October 22. Memphis plays North Texas in Denton on October 25 before closing the regular season home schedule with a matchup against East Carolina on October 30. The regular season concludes with a trip to UAB on November 3.
The American Conference Championship is scheduled to begin with quarterfinal matches on November 9, followed by the semifinals on November 12 and the championship match on November 15.
Memphis will look to secure its place in the NCAA Tournament, with first-round action beginning later in November. The NCAA College Cup is slated for December 11-14.
