Memphis Takes Second Place at Visit Knoxville Collegiate as Morneau Fires Career-Low 66

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – The University of Memphis men's golf team finished in second place at the Visit Knoxville Collegiate at Fox Den Country Club on Tuesday, closing out the tournament with a 4-under-par 276 in the final round.
The Tigers posted a 54-hole total of 11-under-par 829, finishing just four strokes behind tournament champion Tennessee.
Christian Morneau led Memphis in the final round, firing a career-low 18-hole score of 4-under-par 66.
Senior Yixiang Wang tied his career-best 54-hole score with a 7-under-par 203 (70-65-68) to finish tied for fourth place individually. Diego Lourenco also carded a 2-under 68 on Tuesday to lock up a tie for 13th place at 3-under-par 207.
Luke Stennett shot a 4-over 74, while Tobey Kim carded a 79. Both finished tied for 74th at 8-over-par 218.
Memphis returns to action Sept. 14–15 at the Bearcat Invitational, hosted at Coldstream Country Club in Cincinnati, Ohio.
