MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The University of Memphis cross country team opens its 2026 season at the City Auto Memphis Twilight Classic on Saturday, Sept. 5 at the Mike Rose Soccer Complex.

The women's 5k begins at 9:20 p.m., followed by the men's four-mile race at 10 p.m.

The men's roster features four returners: Alex Bobak, Jay Prettyman, Robert Randall and Jackson Turner. Tyler Bickerman, previously on the track and field roster, makes his cross country debut, while freshman James Marimbe joins the Tigers for his first collegiate season.

On the women's side, Memphis returns six runners: Brooke Doyle, Elizabeth Markwell, Reese Martin, Reese McDevitt, Grace Schaff and Jasmine Williams.

At last year's meet, Randall and McDevitt both earned top-30 finishes as the men's team placed third and the women placed sixth.
