A native of the Memphis area, Brock McWhorter is a two-time graduate of the University of Memphis and is set to earn a third degree in 2022. As an undergraduate, McWhorter served as a student manager for the men’s basketball team under Josh Pastner from 2010-12. During this time, the basketball program had a record of 51-19, won two conference championships and made two NCAA Tournament appearances.

McWhorter has been a member of the Memphis Athletic Department since 2013, growing in roles from a graduate assistant to now the Director of Annual Fund & Letterwinner Relations. McWhorter’s new position involves assisting in the operations and growth of the Tiger Scholarship Fund and oversight of the M Club and former student-athlete relationships.

His best memories as a Tiger are getting to cut his piece of the net down in 2012 after a Conference USA championship victory and celebrating the football team winning the American Athletic Conference championship in 2014 with the first 10-win season in over 40 years for the program.

In his free time, McWhorter enjoys spending time with family and friends, playing golf and enjoying a nice bowl of ice cream.
