Dontavis Slaton rejoined the Memphis Athletic Department in August 2026 as the Associate Director of Stadium Events. In his current role, he supports external event coordination, partnership engagement, parking operations and stadium logistics for Simmons Bank Liberty Stadium.

Slaton recently served as the assistant director of football operations with Memphis for two seasons, assisting in day-to-day logistical needs of the program. He also spent a season as a football operations assistant before moving into the assistant director position. His start at Memphis began as a student equipment manager with the football program while he was completing undergraduate coursework.

Slaton, a Memphis native, holds both a bachelor's degree in sport and leisure management and a master's degree in sport commerce from the University of Memphis.
