Tiger Volleyball Snaps Three-Game Losing Streak at South Alabama

Mobile, Ala.-- - The University of Memphis volleyball team (6-8, 0-2) snapped a three-match losing streak with an exciting 3-2 win over host South Alabama, Thursday.
The Tigers won the opening game, 15-6, hitting .556 in the opening game. But host USA came back and won games two and three, 17-15 and 15-10. The Tigers wrapped up the match with some consistent blocking, winning game four 15-4 and game five, 15-11.
Junior Ginger Garrett posted 20 kills, while senior April Harriman had 19. Freshman Brittany Barnett downed 11 kills with five block assists in the Tigers' win.
Memphis travels to New Orleans to face Tulane, Friday, at 7 p.m.
