After further examininations and tests this week, University of Memphis sophomore forward Arthur Barclay continues to be sidelined by tendonitis and is out indefinitely.
Barclay has missed the last three games and continues to be under treatment for patella tendonitis of his left knee. It is uncertain when Barclay could return for the Tigers and it is possible he may not be available for the remainder of the year, according to team orthopedic surgeon Dr. David Sisk.
"I'm very disappointed for Arthur," said Memphis coach John Calipari. "He worked very hard to get back after his operation last year. Make no mistake, this hurts our team."
Barclay underwent knee surgery last summer but came back to play in 18 games and averaged 2.6 points and 2.1 rebounds in his first season at the U of M. Barclay dressed for the UAB game Jan. 23 but has been sidelined since than game.
