North Texas Defeats Lady Tigers

Memphis, Tenn. - North Texas defeated Memphis, 4-0, in women's tennis action Thursday. After winning two of three in doubles to take that point, North Texas also won at numbers one, five and six singles. The other three singles matches were stopped due to cold weather. The temperature dropped 19 degrees from the start of the match until it was called.
The Lady Tigers have now lost seven matches in a row. The lone bright spot for Memphis continued to be the stellar play of the number one doubles team of Sabrina Lindemann and Monica Gonzalez-Gordo. The pair defeated Catherine Alain and Bettina Rettenmaier, 8-2, to move their doubles record to 9-1 this season.
