Men's Golf Building on Momentum In Greenville

GREENVILLE, S.C.- The University of Memphis Men's Golf team is in 6th place of 22 teams at the Furman Intercollegiate Golf Classic after one round.
The Tigers are building on the momentum from last week's solid outing at Myrtle Beach.
Memphis golfer David Jeans is in 4th place after shooting an even par 72 in Round 1. Chris McKeel of Virginia Tech is in 1st place thanks to his sharp first round 67 (5-under).
The Hokies lead the tourney with a 290 (2-over) followed by host team Furman (291 (3-over). The Tigers of Memphis shot a 298 (10-over) putting them in 6th place.
Round 2 of the three-round Intercollegiate is set to begin at 8 a.m. Saturday at the Furman Golf Course. The third and final round is Slated for Sunday.
