Mar 08, 2026 | Men's Golf
MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Memphis men's golf returns to action this week with a trip to the Georgia coast for the fourth annual The Johnnie-O at Sea Island, hosted by Rutgers at Sea Island Resort in St. Simons Island, Georgia.
The two-day, 54-hole event will be played Monday and Tuesday, March 9-10, with 36 holes scheduled for Monday and the final round Tuesday. Play begins at 6:45 a.m. CT with a shotgun start.
The tournament will be contested at the Plantation Course at Sea Island Golf Club, a 6,999-yard, par-72 layout that blends historic design with modern updates. Originally built in 1928, the course was redesigned in 2019 by Davis and Mark Love and features distinctive architectural elements such as bulkheads, railroad ties and chocolate-drop mounds. Sea Island is also well known to golf fans as the home of the PGA Tour's RSM Classic, making it one of the premier collegiate venues on the spring schedule.
