Game time for the Tigers-Cougars American Athletic Conference match-up is 5 p.m. (CT) at the Elma Roane Fieldhouse.
When Tuesday's game tips, it will be a little over 48 hours since Memphis posted an 83-67 victory over Tulane. The game was played before a national television audience on ESPNU.
Memphis placed six players in double figures in the win over the Green Wave. The Tigers did a solid job on both ends of the floor. Memphis hit over 50 percent from the field and held Tulane to under 40 percent. The Tigers defense also forced 17 Green Wave turnovers.
But, the games don't end Tuesday for the Tigers. In another 48-hour turnaround window, Memphis travels to Cincinnati, Ohio, to face the Bearcats at 6 p.m. (CT) Thursday, Jan. 7.

Tigers Tidbits/Five Notes To Know
• Memphis looks to go to 2-1 in American Athletic Conference play today with a victory over Houston. If successful, it would be the first time the Tigers began conference action with a 2-1 record since 2011-12. That season, Memphis started its Conference USA schedule with a 6-1 record on the way to a 13-3 league mark.
• Tuesday's game is the second of four games for the Tigers this week, so the Memphis squad is going to be a little busy. The week started with a thrilling 83-67 conference victory over Tulane Sunday, Jan. 3. After Tuesday's contest, Memphis travels to Cincinnati, Ohio, to face the Bearcats Thursday, Jan. 7. The Tigers wrap up their "four-games-in-seven-days" stretch Sunday, Jan. 10 when they host Tulsa in a 1 p.m. (CT) game at the Elma Roane Fieldhouse.
• Memphis holds a narrow 16-13 series lead over Houston. The Tigers have won two straight and four of the last five meetings with the Cougars. Last season, Memphis swept the two games, posting an 84-49 win at home and a 64-58 victory on the road. Houston's last victory in the series was in the 2014 American Athletic Conference Tournament, a 73-67 win Mar. 7, 2014.
• Redshirt junior Mooriah Rowser has been on a roll in recent games. The 5-foot-9 guard is averaging 17.3 points and has netted double figures in the last three contests. She also has been shooting well from the field, hitting 53.5 percent (23-of-43) in the three games combined. Rowser hit a career-high tying three treys against the Temple Owls Dec. 30.
• Two Tigers put their names in the record books in the Jan. 3 victory over Tulane. Senior Ariel Hearn earned her spot by just being named a starter for the game. Hearn started her 100th career game and is one of seven players in the program's history to have 100 starts. Fellow senior Asianna Fuqua-Bey also got into the record book Jan. 3, moving into the top-10 on the Tigers all-time rebounds chart. The 6-foot-1 guard entered the game one rebound shy of the top-10, and she pulled down nine boards in the 83-67 victory. Fuqua-Bey is No. 10 on the Tigers' all-time rebounds chart with 694 career boards.
