Tigers prepare for conference tournament with season finale against the Golden Hurricane Friday
MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The University of Memphis women's soccer team will remain on the road as they wrap up their regular season against Tulsa Friday evening. The match is scheduled to kickoff at 7 p.m. and a free stream will be available on the American Digital Network.
The Tigers continue their three-match road swing after a hard-fought draw at No. 17 Cincinnati last weekend. Goalkeeper Elizabeth Moberg stopped all 10 shots she faced in the match, including two saves in the final minute of the first overtime. The tie moved Memphis to a 10-5-2 record, including a 4-2-2 American Athletic Conference mark.
Head coach Brooks Monaghan, whose team has already clinched a spot in the AAC tournament, seeks to finish the regular season in strong fashion. Currently sitting tied for third in the conference with Cincinnati, a win against Tulsa could put the Tigers in a position to finish third in the conference. Historically, the Tigers are 8-2-2 against Tulsa, including a 4-0 victory last year at home.
