Freshman Rebeca Melton led the Tigers with two hits Saturday afternoon
BOCA RATON, Fla. – The University of Memphis softball team fell to a pair of SEC opponents Saturday afternoon in Arkansas and No. 22 Kentucky at the FAU Tournament in Boca Raton, Fla. The Tigers dropped game one to Arkansas by a score of 4-2 before falling in five innings to the Wildcats by a 9-1 margin.
Against the Razorbacks, all six runs scored in the ball game were scored in the first two innings of action. The Tigers struck first in the bottom of the first inning against Arkansas, but a four-run second inning by the Razobacks gave them the lead for good.
