Memphis closes non-conference play with showdown at Ole Miss

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Capping six consecutive matches away from home, the women's soccer team will close non-conference action with a Sunday night showdown at Ole Miss. Kickoff from Oxford, Miss., is set for 7 p.m. and can be streamed on SEC Network+.

Five Things to Know About Memphis
- Memphis enters Sunday's contest on a five-match win streak. Through the first eight games of the season, the Tigers are off to their second-best start in program history and best since 2011.

- Goalkeeper Elizabeth Moberg ranks first nationally in shutouts with seven. The sophomore, who has tallied 11 clean sheets in her career, also leads the AAC in goals against average (0.62).
- Clarissa Larisey leads the team with seven goals scored. Her seven goals also lead the AAC and are tied for fifth nationally. Larisey was named last week's AAC Offensive Player of the Week after four goals in three contests.
- Samantha Murphy is tied for second in the AAC in goals scored with five. The sophomore has scored in four consecutive contests.
A Look at Ole Miss
In their last outing, the Rebels of Ole Miss collected a 1-0 victory at Alabama to open conference play. Sophomore Molly Martin headed in the match's lone score in the 45th minute of action.
Offensively, the Rebels rank first nationally in goals scored with 27. CeCe Kizer is tied for first nationally with nine goals this season. To go along with four assists, Kizer also leads the country in total points with 22.
In the net, senior Marnie Merritt has played every minute for the Rebels this season. Merritt has made 18 saves against 10 goals and has posted four shutouts.
