Feb 27, 2021 | Softball
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Memphis softball lost a doubleheader 6-2 and 6-1 to Troy in the Easton Crimson Classic at the University of Alabama on Saturday. This was the first time that the Tigers have played an opponent outside of the top 25 this season. The six games against top 25 teams this year is already the third most in school history in a season, behind seven in 2008 and eight in 2013. The Tigers have played more ranked opponents than any other American Athletic Conference team. Houston and USF are tied for second with three.
