Tigers Fall to Bulls in Series Opener

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – In their final regular season series of the year, the Tigers welcomed the Bulls of South Florida to town. While Memphis was able to hold the USF offense fairly silent in the opening innings, the Bulls would explode in the third, fourth and fifth innings and claim the 13-1 win
Following today's games, Memphis moves to 16-35 overall and 2-14 in American Athletic Conference play.

Following today's games, Memphis moves to 16-35 overall and 2-14 in American Athletic Conference play.
MEMPHIS: 1, SOUTH FLORIDA: 13 (5 INNINGS)
How it happened:
- Memphis held South Florida scoreless in the opening inning and held them to just one run in the top of the second.
- The Tiger offense picked up in the bottom half of the second inning after Camryn Wineinger, Taylor Smrt and Anna Grace Magee recorded hits to load the bases. But, USF's Corrick would record back-to-back strikeouts to strand all three runners.
- South Florida would go on to score a combined 12 runs in the top of the third, fourth and fifth innings.
- Linsey Hargis cracked the pitching of Corrick with a rip in the bottom of the fourth inning that left the ballpark in a hurry for her fourth homerun of the season.
- Hallie Siems got the start tonight going 2.1 innings with a strikeout. Kailey Hilderbrand and Zoey LeCompte both made appearances tonight.
