Three Tigers Named to MLS SuperDraft Eligible List

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Per a release from Major League Soccer (MLS), Jackson Kim, Alejandro Padilla and Filip Sabatti have been named to the eligible draftee list ahead of the 2025 MLS SuperDraft this Friday at 1 p.m.
Kim enters the draft as the American Athletic Conference's Defender of the Year in 2024. He led the Tigers to four shutouts and a regular season conference title in his graduate campaign. Additionally, Kim has been a two-time United Soccer Coaches All-Region selection, two-time All-AAC first team selection while starting in 48 of his 49 matches in Memphis.
Sabatti comes into the draft as the reigning Goalkeeper of the Year in the AAC, also having been named to the All-AAC First Team in his first season in Memphis. The former La Salle Explorer stepped in to a starting role in Memphis' 5-1 victory over Northern Illinois and would start the remaining 14 matches this season. The Croatia native recorded 48 saves and held a 1.27 goals-against-average with four shutouts all coming in succession (UAB, Belmont, Charlotte, Temple).
Padilla becomes eligible after one season at Memphis, where he made six starts in eleven appearances, logging over 600 minutes in defense.
The 2025 MLS SuperDraft is set for a 1 p.m. start on Friday, December 20. The draft will consist of 90 total picks taking place over three rounds.
