MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Memphis women's basketball caps off a four-game homestand against Louisiana on Tuesday night at 7 p.m. They will then head to George Town, Grand Cayman, for the Cayman Islands Classic, where they will take on Florida on November 28 at 6:30 p.m. CT and St. John's on November 29 at 6:30 p.m. CT.

The Tigers (3-3) got back to .500 on Saturday afternoon by defeating ETSU, 60-54, the best defensive performance since February 2024. Chaé Harris leads the team with 17.8 points per game, and Daejah Richmond is second with 11.0 to go with just under three assists per contest.
Game One: Louisiana
The last game at Elma Roane Fieldhouse until December 28, Tuesday's matchup will cap four consecutive home games across 10 days for Alex Simmons' bunch.
Just the third matchup in program history, the last game took place 23 years ago to the date on Nov. 25, 2002. The Tigers won, 63-50, in Lafayette as Shannon Hemp became the 15th player to reach 1,000 career points. The first game one year prior in Memphis had an eerily similar scoreline, with the hosts winning, 62-50.
Louisiana (0-4) is searching for their first win of the season, having fallen just short on Friday night at Nicholls State, 66-64. They have faced staunch competition, namely No. 4 Texas in Austin.
Garry Brodhead is in his 14th season at the helm of the Ragin' Cajuns, the 2020-21 Sun Belt regular season champions. They were picked 11th of 14 in the Sun Belt preseason poll. With three double-digit scorers, freshman guard Amijah Price leads the way with 15.8 points and an impressive 7.5 rebounds at just 5-foot-8.
Game Two: Florida
On day one of the Cayman Islands Classic, Memphis' matchup with the Gators will be the fourth and final game of Friday's action. A full schedule and all tournament information can be found at CaymanIslandsClassic.com.
Florida (5-1) takes on Florida Atlantic from the American Conference on Monday night in Boca Raton. The Gators are undefeated at home but lost to Navy in Annapolis on November 16.
Memphis has not played Florida since March 17, 2000, in the second round of the WNIT. The Gators were victorious at Elma Roane Fieldhouse, 74-71. All three games in the series were played in Memphis; the Tigers hold a 2-1 advantage behind victories in 1979 and 1996.
The Gators have the 18th-best scoring offense in basketball with 86.9 points per game, fueled by sophomore guard Liv McGill's 26.0, which is third in the NCAA. They've been beating opponents by an average of 29.2 points per game, the 26th-highest figure.
In her fifth season as Florida head coach, Kelly Rae Finley has reached the postseason every year and was a semifinalist for Naismith Coach of the Year in 2022 behind a 21-11 season.
Game Three: St. John's
The final game of the Cayman Islands Classic will be a matchup between the Tigers and the Red Storm. These programs also played in a holiday tournament in November 2022, with St. John's winning, 61-57, at the Las Vegas Invitational. The Red Storm have a 3-1 advantage in the all-time series, having won the only two matchups in the 21st century (Dec. 18, 2011).
St. John's has won three games in a row to improve to 4-1 and will take on Central Connecticut State on Monday night in Queens. They recently beat No. 18/23 Oklahoma State, 74-67. Joe Tartamella is in his 14th year in charge of the Red Storm and is nearing 250 wins with the program.
A well-rounded offense, eight players average five or more points, led by junior guard Brooke Moore, who averages 12.2 after posting just five points per game at Liberty last season.
