Tigers Post Complete Performances at Ole Miss Classic, Bulldog Alumni Relays

OXFORD, Miss. – Memphis track and field turned in complete performances at the Ole Miss Classic and Bulldog Alumni Relays on Friday and Saturday, picking up four field victories and two track victories.
Bryce Ravenell's high jump of 2.07 meters was the best of his season and enough to place first, and Gabriel Koletsi won the javelin throw with a personal-best 70.74-meter throw. Freshman Meghan Porterfield continues to shine with a first-place discus throw of 47.86 meters, and Jazmyn James also recorded the win-PR pairing with a 15.89-meter shot put.
Vincent Chenier ran 1500 meters in a career-best 3:46.21 to take first, and the women's 4x400-meter relay team of Kameron Scille, Ivory Davis, Dejona Simpson and Gabrielle Cross won their first outdoor race of the year with a time of 3:37.00.
There were nine second and third-place finishes between the two meets, and 10 personal-bests. Full results for both competitions can be found at the links above. The Tigers will be competing in dual meets again next weekend, going to the WashU Distance Carnival in St. Louis and the Don McGary Invitational in Kennesaw, Georgia.
