Tigers Bring Home Fifth Place at Old Waverly Collegiate Championship

WEST POINT, Miss. – Despite a round three that saw the Tigers shoot eight over par, the University of Memphis men's golf team brought home fifth place at the Ola Waverly Collegiate Championship Tuesday afternoon.

Memphis, who was nine strokes ahead of sixth place UTEP, finished just behind three nationally ranked teams in Ole Miss (#3), Alabama (#15) and Mississippi State (#32).

Andrew Baucum finished the tournament with a share of 15^th place after shooting four over par today. Along with him, Diego Lourenco jumped five spots in the rankings to finish 19^th at two over par. Both Yixiang Wang and Cian O'Connor finished tied for 23^rd place at three over par while Christian Morneau brought home 45^th place at 11 over par.

Memphis will take part in the American Athletic Conference Championship starting next Monday, April 21 at the Ritz-Carlton Members Club in Sarasota, Fla.
