Memphis to Host Devilettes in Nonconference Matchup

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Memphis volleyball returns to Elma Roane Fieldhouse to host the Mississippi Valley State Devilettes on Tuesday at 6 p.m. on ESPN+ with Tyler Springs on the call.
SCOUTING THE TIGERS
Memphis (7-5) is coming off two losses against Alabama and UCF at the Crimson Classic.
Janyah Henderson led the offense with 25 kills and 32 points in three games while Zaniah Hoskins followed with 24 kills and 28 points. Maddy Bach recorded 59 assists during the week, highlighted by 26 assists against Ole Miss. Jasmyn Tate made her 2025 debut with 15 kills, five digs and four blocks over two matches.
SCOUTING THE DEVILETTES
Mississippi Valley State (3-4) comes into this game after competing in the Fisk Tri-Match in Nashville, Tenn. two weeks ago.
The Devilettes lost to Fisk in three sets and Lindsey Wilson in four sets. Alaya Rhodes led Mississippi Valley State offense with 19 kills, 15 digs and 20.5 points in their two matches. Leticia Franco recorded 26 assists while Lyric Edwards put up four blocks.
SERIES BETWEEN TIGERS AND DEVILETTES
This will be the second matchup between the Tigers and Devilettes, with the previous matchup taking place last year in the Carrie Yerty Classic, with Memphis earning a sweep over Mississippi Valley State.
