Monaghan Announces Five Signings for 2026 Season

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – University of Memphis women's soccer coach Brooks Monaghan has signed five players set to join the Tigers for the 2026 season. Signees include Honoka Nohara, Neko Michell, Natalie Dvorakova, Miyu Morata and Maira Boosman.
"I am very excited to be adding these young ladies to our roster. I am confident that they possess the skill and knowledge that is required to compete at a high level. I am looking forward to working with each of them in the very near future," Monaghan said.
Nohara, a midfielder/forward from Kawaguchi, Japan, arrives in Memphis after two years at Iowa Western Community College where she totaled 25 goals and 22 assists in 43 matches played. Nohara was also named ICCAC Division I Player of the Year this past season.
Michell, a forward from Saskatchewan, Canada, joins the Tigers as a freshman and is currently the No. 8-ranked prospect by FTF Canada for the Class of 2027. She was the top scorer in her province, leading her club team to a provincial championship.
Dvorakova, a midfielder from Prague, Czechia, comes to Memphis after two seasons at LSU, totaling nearly 700 minutes played over 28 matches.
Morata, a midfielder from Ryuo, Japan, is the latest Japanese player to join the Memphis roster. She joins Yuna Nagata, Mihiro Furuya, Sakura Thomas, Ai Kitagawa and previously mentioned Honoka Nohara giving Monaghan's squad six Japanese players, the most of any foreign nation represented on the roster.
Boosman, a defender from The Hague, Netherlands, rounds out the signing class and joins the Tigers from ADO Den Haag, a club in the Dutch Eredivisie, the top league in the Netherlands. Boosman made her debut as a substitute on May 3 in ADO Den Haag's 4-2 win over NAC Breda.
