Tigers Open Fall Competition in Knoxville for the Visit Knoxville Collegiate

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — The University of Memphis men's golf team starts its fall season in-state at the Visit Knoxville Collegiate starting Monday.
This marks the program's first tournament in Knoxville since 2003, when the Tigers competed in the Coca-Cola Tournament of Champions. It is also the team's first-ever appearance in the Visit Knoxville Collegiate.
Memphis is coming off a historic season after qualifying for the NCAA Championships for the first time since 2012, following a third-place finish at the NCAA Regionals in Columbus, Ohio.
The 2026-27 roster features returning American All-Conference selections Diego Lourenco and Yixiang Wang, alongside Tobey Kim and Christian Morneau.
Five newcomers join the Tigers this season, including freshmen Tiago Ledgaro, Lauri Paasilinna and Harrison Shaw. Transfers Luke Stennett (Rhode Island) and Chujing Su (Rochester) also join the squad.
The elite tournament field features several 2026 NCAA Championship participants, including Tennessee, North Carolina, Mississippi State, Louisville, Chattanooga, Georgia and Vanderbilt, as well as NCAA Regional qualifiers NC State, Kentucky, Liberty, South Carolina and Charlotte.
