Manned the midfield in 18 matches, earning 16 starts … Recorded three shots on goal during the season, coming against SIUE (8/24), SMU (10/12) and SMU in the AAC Championship (11/8) …. Played 90 or more minutes in five matches.

2017 (Freshman):
Appeared in 15 matches as a freshman, starting eight … took one shot during the season, taking it against UCA (10/18) … registered one assist on Charles Blankenship’s game-winning goal against Missouri State (9/10).

Prep:
Attended Cypress Woods High School and has competed for the Texans SC Houston Academy where he has played for the last 14 years … is a two-time captain of his U18 Academy team and as a junior, he started in every game … plays on the Texans with fellow Tiger newcomers Edgar Alaniz, Jr. and Alex Bruce ... in 2013, Huerta played in the U.S. Soccer DA Select Game and also played in the MUPC in England as a guest player with the Dallas Texans.
