2017 (Redshirt-Senior):
Played in 14 matches for the Tigers, starting five of them … scored his first goal of the season to win the match in the 88th minute against Missouri State (9/10) … his second score of the year came as the equalizer against USF (10/21) … played all 90 minutes of action on Senior Day against Tulsa (11/4).
Prior to Memphis:
Attended and graduated East Tennessee State … competed for two seasons while redshirting his first year … began his collegiate career at Presbyterian College … at ETSU, was part of a team that was the Southern Conference regular season championship and NCAA Tournament team in 2016 … saw action in 18 games at ETSU including the upset game over No. 1 UNC in Chapel Hill … started 15 of 18 games played at Presbyterian in 2013 … finished freshman campaign with an assist and 12 shots, of which four were on goal.
Prep:
Attended Houston High School in Memphis … was a four-year letterwinner on the varsity soccer team … was an All-State player and led his team in goals three of the four years … started in every game … was a member of the GSC Fury from 2002-07, MidSouth FC 2008-12, and TN ODP 95 … was an ODP Region 3 Champion and a Premier League South Champion.
Personal:
The son of Charlie and Karen Blankenship … graduated in May of 2017 from East Tennessee State and will pursue an MBA at Memphis.
