Winston Roberts joined the Memphis communications staff in July 2024. He is the primary media contact for women’s basketball, women’s soccer and track and field.
Roberts spent two years at the University of Tennessee, where he worked in strategic communications for Tennessee Athletics while obtaining a master’s degree in public relations. He was the primary contact for the women’s golf program and served as a feature writer for the men’s basketball team through their runs to the NCAA Sweet Sixteen in 2023 and Elite Eight in 2024.
Prior to his time in Knoxville, Roberts was a student worker in LSU’s sports information office, serving as interim media contact for the track and field program covering the men's national title defense in 2022 and former student-athlete Mondo Duplantis' breaking of the pole vault world record at the World Athletics Championships. He also worked extensively with women’s soccer, volleyball and softball.
A native of Gautier, Mississippi, Roberts graduated from LSU in 2022 with a bachelor’s degree in sport administration.
