MEMPHIS, Tenn. - The University of Memphis is one of 14 programs competing for the title at the second annual Mountaineer Intercollegiate, hosted by the University of West Virginia.

LAST EVENT
Memphis' JC Campbell placed in a tie for fifth place overall at the 2016 Memphis Intercollegiate - his highest career individual finish - as the Tigers took fourth place in the field. Campbell carded rounds of 76, 73, and 73, and his 222 tied for fifth place overall. Freshman Nick Giles carded a final-round 73, putting him at nine strokes over par, which is tied for 13th overall. Senior Sydney Chung was the team's third and final finisher inside of the top-20, as his one-over 73 put him at 11 strokes over par, and tied for 20th overall. Kevin Lee finished a stroke behind Chung with a final-round 79 that put him at 12 strokes over par for the three rounds, and was the team's fourth and final scorer. Camden Backel carded a final-round 82 to place in a tie of 71 as the team's fifth player.

This is the second year of the tournament, and the first time the Tigers have taken part in it.
