Mikus Awarded Weekly Honor Roll

The midfielder netted the game winner against Utah Valley
MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Redshirt sophomore Chris Mikus was named to the American Athletic Conference Weekly Honor Roll for his performance over the weekend, the league office announced Monday afternoon.
Mikus scored the only goal for the Tigers in the match against Utah Valley, and it proved to be the game winner. Memphis halted late attacks by the Wolverines, including two shots in the last minute, to preserve the win. The goal was Mikus' second of the season.
The Honor Roll nod is the first for Mikus this season, and the second weekly award of his career. Last season saw him awarded Rookie of the Week for scoring the game winner against Cincinnati.
After five consecutive road matches, the Tigers return home to face Belmont on Saturday. Match time is slated for 7 p.m., at Mike Rose Soccer Complex. Memphis will play three of its next four matches at home.
