Tigers Gear Up for Sunday Showdown at No. 21 Texas A&M
Dec 09, 2023 | Men's Basketball
MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The Memphis men's basketball team hits the road for the last time in nonconference action as the Tigers wrap up their six-game road trip Sunday afternoon with a tough test at No. 21/19 Texas A&M in College Station. Tip-off inside Reed Arena is set for 3 p.m. on ESPN2 as Memphis looks to close out its 23 days on the road with a win streak.
The matchup with the Aggies (7-2) will be Memphis' (6-2) fourth of the season against a Southeastern Conference opponent. The Tigers already have wins at Missouri and against No. 20 Arkansas in the Bahamas, while suffering a three-point defeat at Ole Miss earlier this month.
Memphis is returning a home game in 2023 after Texas A&M visited the Bluff City last December. In that game, the Tigers battled for nearly three hours and endured 49 combined fouls to hand the Aggies an 83-79 loss in the first matchup between the programs since the Sweet Sixteen bout in 2007.
