GREEN BAY, Wis. – Led by Mac Hermann Trophy Watch List nominee Lineker Rodrigues dos Santos, the Memphis Tigers went on the road Thursday night and opened their 2023 season with a 2-0 victory over Green Bay.

KEY MOMENTS

Rodrigues dos Santos recorded the first goal of the season for the Tigers in the eighth minute after taking the ball from Green Bay, spinning around a defender, and firing a left-footed rocket past the keeper from 15 yards out.
In the 52^nd tick, Green Bay had its best scoring opportunity of the evening, but keeper Colin Welsh made a spectacular diving stop to his left to keep the Tigers in front 1-0.
As the clock hit 60', Alberto Cruz took a beautiful feed from Rodrigues dos Santos in the box and lofted a ball over the keeper and into the left corner of the net to give Memphis a 2-0 lead.

NOTABLES

Rodrigues dos Santos notched a goal and an assist in the same game for the first time in his career. His three points are the second-most in a game in his career.
Cruz scored his ninth-career goal after picking up eight in 2022.
Welsh was credited with five saves and recorded his ninth-career clean sheet.
Both squads attempted 14 shots on the night, with Memphis putting eight on target.
