Tigers Continue Conference Play Against Tulane and North Texas

Memphis, Tenn. – The University of Memphis volleyball team will play at the Larry O. Finch Center on Friday hosting Tulane at 6 p.m. The Tigers will then travel to North Texas to play on Sunday at 11 a.m. Both matches will be available to stream on ESPN+.
The Tigers are looking to continue their win streak, after beating Charlotte and Temple last weekend.
Memphis has accumulated 696 kills this season, led by Hannah Jones with 188 so far. Tiffany Snook follows behind with 124, while Clara Bednarek has tallied 122.
Memphis averages 11.67 assists per set, led by Jordan Heatherly, who has recorded 585 assists on the season. Heatherly has also tallied 30 aces and leads the AAC. Memphis leads the conference averaging 1.89 aces per set.
Abigail Schlueter leads Memphis with 3.92 digs per set, placing her fourth in the AAC. Schlueter has 247 digs on the season. Bednarek brought a huge presence at the net last weekend getting her hands on seven blocks.
Tulane (11-7, 3-3) is coming off back-to-back victories over UTSA and East Carolina. The Green Wave are led by both Outside Hitters Sami Jacobs and Avery Burks. Jacobs has accumulated 200 kills and 245 digs so far, while Burks has tallied 172 kills and 124 digs. Middle Blocker Sabrina Skyers doesn't let many balls get by her, racking up 73 total blocks. Tulane is ranked second in the conference in blocks, with 154 on the season.
North Texas (7-10, 4-2) is coming into the weekend off a 3-1 decision over UTSA. The Mean Green are led by Aryn Johnson, who has recorded 180 kills. North Texas leads the conference in with a .247 hitting percentage.
