No. 16 Tigers Host Arkansas State Sunday Afternoon

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The University of Memphis Tiger men's basketball team plays game two of its home stand when it hosts the Red Wolves of Arkansas State Sunday afternoon.
The Tigers are coming off a bounce back win over Louisiana Tech that saw PJ Haggerty and Tyrese Hunter combine for 43 of the teams 81 points while Colby Rogers added in 13 points.
After being down one at halftime, Memphis come out hot – shooting 62 percent from long range and getting 16 second chance points after grabbing 13 offensive boards. The Tigers went on to force the Bulldogs into 20 turnovers during the game that Memphis turned into 31 points.
For the season, Haggerty leads the team with 22.3 points per game while Hunter (16.6), Rogers (12.6) and Dain Dainja (10.3) are adding in double figures. On the boards, Haggerty and Dainja are combining for 12.1 rebounds.

SCOUTING THE ARKANSAS STATE RED WOLVES
- A-State is coming off a nail-biting win over Jackson State that saw the Red Wolves defense play lock down defense against the Tigers for the final 90 seconds of the game to come away with the 66-64 win.
- The Red Wolves got two lay-ups in the final three minutes of the game, but the Bulldogs clawed their way back getting within two.
- Both sides did not score the rest of the night, but Jackson State had possession with 16 seconds left, during which a jumper by Daeshun Ruffin fell no good to end the contest.
