MEMPHIS, Tenn. -- The No. 6/8 Memphis women's soccer team is back at home after 17 days away from the Track and Soccer Stadium, hosting Iowa State on Sunday evening at approximately 8:00 p.m. Â
Â
Streaming on ESPN+, the match will follow the men's match-up with Central Arkansas which kicks off at 6:00 p.m.Â
Â
The Tigers (3-0) face their third consecutive Power-4 opponent in the Cyclones and are looking to defend their 13-game home winning streak, which became the longest in the country following Florida State's Thursday night draw at home to Georgia. Â
Â
Last time out, Memphis picked up a 2-1 victory over Ole Miss behind two second-half goals from freshman Ai Kitagawa. The Tigers controlled the game from start to finish for their second victory over Ole Miss in as many years.Â
Â
Iowa State (2-1-1) will be hitting the road for their first out-of-state test of the season, having hosted Western Illinois, Creighton and Northern Illinois and traveled to Des Moines to take on Drake. They comfortably handled UNI in their most recent match, a 6-1 victory that saw midfielder Hannah Shaw score her first career brace.Â
Â
Memphis owns a 4-0 all-time record over the Cyclones, including wins in each of the past three seasons. Last year in Ames, Saorla Miller scored two first-half goals as the Tigers coasted to a 4-1 victory away from home. In total, Brooks Monaghan's squads have outscored Iowa State 11-1 dating back to 2019.Â

Tiger TidbitsÂ
- Sunday's match-up will feature two defenses who have gotten off to solid starts this season. Iowa State has allowed just 1 goal per game on 9.5 shots per game, while Memphis has conceded 0.67 goals per game on 5.7 shots per game.Â
- The Tigers hold not only the longest active home winning streak in NCAA; they can also claim the longest road winning streak after their victory in Oxford made it nine in a row. The last team to hold both active records was North Carolina who did so in the 2020-21 season. Â
- In addition to their ninth straight road victory, Memphis improved their all-time record to 41-41-7 against the SEC last Sunday. They have won 11 of the last 16 SEC match-ups since the 2018 season began.Â
- Ai Kitagawa's second-half brace gave the freshman three goals in as many career games. She became the fastest player to reach three career goals in the Monaghan era (2000-present).Â
