Tigers Fall to Ole Miss in Opening Match of Spring Season

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The University of Memphis women's tennis team fell in a final score of 4-2 to Ole Miss Friday night at Leftwich Tennis Center.

Memphis falls to 0-1 for the season while Ole Miss picks up its first team win of the season.

After the Rebels went up 1-0 after collecting the double point, Leonie Moeller and Emily Meyer finished their opponents off with 6-2, 6-3 and 7-6, 6-3 wins, respectively, while Ole Miss took the No. 2, No. 3 and No. 6 spots.

The Memphis Tigers will hit the road to Atlanta when it takes on Georgia Tech on Sunday afternoon.
