Tigers Fall to No. 3 Stanford in Opening Match of ITA Kickoff Weekend

STANFORD, Calif. – The University of Memphis women's tennis team suffered a 4-0 loss to the third-ranked Stanford Cardinal today in the opening match of the ITA Kickoff Event. The Tigers will play against Utah tomorrow at 4 p.m. CT.

A tough outing against the Cardinal, Leonie Moeller and Emily Meyer suffered the 6-1 loss to No. 33 Connie Ma and Valerie Glozman while Sofia Mykhaliets and Alyssa Richter fell 6-1 to the duo of Valencia Xu and Chidimma Okpara.

In singles competition, both Moeller and Richter faced Stanford's nationally ranked players in Glozman and Ma.
