Richmond Named American Conference Weekly Honorable Mention

IRVING, Texas – Memphis guard Daejah Richmond earned a spot on the American Conference's weekly honorable mentions, the league office announced on Monday afternoon.
Richmond, a Memphis native who transferred in from UT Martin, posted two strong performances in a win against Florida Atlantic and a loss to South Florida. Her first double-double of the year featured a career-high in rebounds (11) and a joint-high in steals (six) to go with 23 points in a 74-66 victory over FAU.
The guard followed it up with 24 points, seven rebounds and six assists, shooting a perfect 6-of-6 in the first half against South Florida, as Memphis hit their second-highest scoring tally in a 90-81 loss.
Across both games, Richmond finished with averages of 23.5 points, 9.0 rebounds, 5.0 assists and 3.5 steals on 62.1% shooting from the field and 83.3% from the foul line.
Richmond and the Tigers are back in action on Tuesday, January 13, at 6:30 p.m. at North Texas. The game will be broadcast on ESPN+.
