Mooney joined the Tigers in June 2024 after spending a season as the Strength and Conditioning Coach at Colorado State where he primarily worked with the women's basketball and tennis programs. Prior to his work with the Rams, Mooney had stops at Eastern Michigan, Saint Leo University, The System8, University of Tampa and Colorado Mesa.
Mooney earned his Bachelor's in Exercise Science from Colorado Mesa University in 2018 and completed his Master's in Exercise and Nutrition Sciences from University of Tampa in 2020. He is a PhD candidate in Health and Human Performance at Concordia University Chicago with an expected graduation date of Spring 2025.
Mooney is an NSCA certified Strength and Condition Specialist (CSCS) and a Registered Strength and Conditioning Coach (RSCC).
